I Had a Dream Last Night…

Unlike my wife, who remembers very few of her dreams, I can usually recall most of mine down to the most minute detail. They don’t always make sense and a few of them I can blame on a late-night snack that didn’t settle very well. However, for the most part, my dreams are vivid and relate to something that transpired that day.

I have also preached entire sermons during my sleep and when I awoke, I quickly jotted down the main points so as not to forget.

This week, my dream was of a more political nature. The plot was that I had been hired as a speechwriter for Donald Trump (seriously) and I developed a three-point address for him to deliver. As best I can recall, it went something like this.

1. If Donald Trump wins in November, it will be a victory for the rest of the world because dictators like Vladimir Putin and terrorist groups like Hamas will think twice before they act or invade.

2. If Donald Trump wins in November, it will be a victory for America because our borders will once again be secure and illegal immigrants will be deported.

3. If Donald Trump wins in November, it will be a victory for the American family because gas and home heating prices will drop as oil production increases. Grocery bills will also plummet because the higher fuel prices under President Biden raised the cost of bringing food to market.

That’s three wins for the world, America as a whole, and American families in particular if Donald Trump is elected the 47th President of the United States on November 5th.

Let’s hope that my dream becomes a reality!
