Why Does Our Government Hate Us?

Is it incompetence or deliberate malfeasance?

Is our federal government really that clueless or are the powerbrokers behind-the-scenes so evil and corrupt that they think nothing about telling boldface lies to the American people, over and over again?

Hopefully, it’s one or the other. Because if it’s both, which I have a sneaky suspicion is the case, our country is in far worse shape than previously imagined.

Here is just one recent example…

Last week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics admitted that they had overestimated the number of new jobs created over a 12-month period from April 2024 to March 2025. OK, nobody’s perfect, right? Well, in this case, the BLS didn’t just miss the mark by a few thousand jobs or even a few tens of thousands of jobs. On the contrary, they overestimated the number of new jobs by 911,000.

Being off by almost a million jobs is like NASA launching a rocket to the moon and landing on Mars instead.

The vast majority (83%) of these nonexistent jobs were tallied during the Biden administration, which begs the question: were Joe and Kamala (or their proxies) trying to paint a rosier-than-reality picture of the U.S. economy to bolster their faltering and floundering re-election chances? At this point, I wouldn’t point anything past the political operatives who tried to hide Joe’s obvious cognitive decline from the American people.

The mainstream media has been harping on the most recent jobs report, which showed that just 22,000 new jobs were created in August. But were they? Or were there really more… or less? And if the liberal press is aghast at 22,000 jobs, why aren’t they in an uproar about the BLS fabricating an average of 76,000 new jobs per month for an entire year?

Me thinks I smell a rat… or at least a press room full of hypocrites.

Sadly, the debacle at the BLS is just one example of the lies and half-truths emanating from the Washington swamp these days. Russian collusion, anyone?

Lest we forget, back in 2016, tens of thousands of Hillary Clinton’s potentially incriminating emails, which had been subpoenaed by Congress, just happened to be permanently deleted from an illegal private server using BleachBit. No apology was offered, and no explanation was given. We were simply told – and expected to believe – that the emails (all 33,000 of them) were of a strictly personal nature.

Yeah, right… and I have a bridge in Brooklyn and some swampland in Florida for sale if you’re interested.

One lie after another, followed in rapid succession by one denial after another… and then one coverup after another.

Everyone on Capitol Hill acts outraged, has their office issue a public statement, and gives a press interview or two. A week or two later, the dust settles and everything goes back to business as usual.

No one is held accountable, and the American people are treated like dupes and dopes yet again – which is exactly who and what we are if we don’t start demanding answers and stop re-electing the same incompetent liars, election after election.
